Sara Michli received her Master’s degree in general psychology with clinical emphasis, and graduated with distinction from the American University of Beirut. During her Master’s studies, Sara enrolled in an intensive, supervised, clinical training program at the American University of Beirut Medical Center for two years.

In addition to working as a private practitioner at Nawfal Clinics, Sara is currently working at Restart Center for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Violence and Torture as a psychotherapist with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with PTSD, depression, and anxiety disorders. She is also working as a psychologist and a psychotherapist at the SKILD Center with students with learning difficulties, where she conducts psychotherapy and finalizes cognitive assessments.

In addition to conducting psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and young adults, Sara provides parental guidance and family interventions, and collaborates with schools, therapists, and Child Protection Services when needed. Sara also has experiences in conducting group therapies with adolescents. Additionally, she has a special interest and a strong theoretical and clinical background in working with the LGBTQ population, and has conducted research on the topic. Sara also co-authored a book chapter titled “The Clash of Pathways” in the World Book of Hope to be published in English, French, German, and Dutch.

Sara builds her therapeutic relationships based on trust, ethics, collaboration, and compassion, which serve in supporting her clients through navigating their internal world and overcoming psychological difficulties so that they can uncover their full potential.
